Hi Everyone! Since 2024 is a ‘Leap Year’ with 366 days, and we are using the “Bible In One Year” reading plan (Biblica.com) which has the usual 365 daily sets of bible readings, this presents us with a slight problem. As you will have noticed, today is 29th February, the extra day of bible reading. At some point during this year, we will need to insert an additional set of daily bible readings to cover that 366th day. Where will they appear in the plan? On 1st March or on 31st December, for example?
Many of you who subscribe to The Big Picture use a ‘hard copy’ version of the bible readings (i.e. printed on paper in a book!) and obviously these cannot be changed and their dates and readings will be ‘out of sync’ for the remainder of the year. But the online Biblica.com version that highlights the readings for the day can be adjusted for the rest of this leap year. I have therefore taken the decision that we will resynchronise the readings for the benefit of those using the paper versions, by repeating today’s readings and notes tomorrow, Friday 1st March. After that, everything will be in line again.
Those folk who use the Biblica.com online version need to make a quick one-off adjustment to their web page…

Change the highlighted ‘Start Date’ to January 2nd 2024. This will then reset February 29th to yesterday’s readings and ensure that tomorrow’s (1st March) will be correct for the plan (= Day 60). I am hoping that the same web page will work correctly for each day thereafter.
Looking forward to 2025!
Andy.
